The longest and heaviest internal drive shaft in this size series at 13.8 lbs, engineered for 72-inch PTO-driven implement frames. The additional diameter relative to shorter variants maintains adequate torsional stiffness across the full 72-inch span. When replacing this shaft, inspect the gearbox output coupling, keyways at both ends, and all adjacent bearing journals simultaneously — on wider implements, shaft failures are often preceded by gradual bearing degradation from slight misalignment that goes undetected until secondary damage occurs.
